NOTICE OF VACANCY: FIRE COMMISSIONER POSITION

The Board of Commissioners for East Grays Harbor Fire and Rescue announces an opening for a vacant Fire Commissioner position, effective immediately following a recent resignation. The Board is seeking dedicated individuals interested in serving their local community in this vital governance role. 

POSITION OVERVIEW

The selected candidate will fulfill the remainder of the current term, which runs through December 31, 2027. This is a limited per-diem compensated elected position within Grays Harbor County.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must reside within the official jurisdictional boundaries of East Grays Harbor Fire and Rescue.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until an adequate pool of candidates is received and the position is filled. The Board of Commissioners will conduct an initial review of applications on August 11, 2026. Qualified applicants will be contacted and invited to an open public meeting for a formal interview and selection process.
